World War 2 memorabilia

World war II, also called the second world war, was a war that lasted over half a decade. It was a global war that involved most of the world’s countries, including the worlds “superpowers” which then consisted of The United States of America, The Soviet Union, France, Germany and United Kingdom.

The war began in 1939 and ended in 1945, with Nazi Germany eventually surrendering to the Allied forces. It is the only time that nuclear weapons were used in a war. And it is believed to be the most devastating war in the history of the human race.

The remnants of the war could be seen and felt long after it was over, and countries that severely felt the aftermath included but not limited to Japan.

Today, the war is only talked about in history classes, with most of the “participants” either dead or old. One can only get a glimpse of the war through certain preserved memorabilia that may be found in museums across the country and all over the world.

An inventory of Word War two collectibles, memorabilia and antiques may be found on the internet and purchased at a cheap price.

These include helmets, badges, military uniforms and dog tags are sold for a few dollars to thousands.

Recent discoveries of memorabilia have been made. Two Russian men found explosives and handguns that are intact and could be live. They also uncovered the remains of some of the soldiers who had died during the war and were never recovered.

A relic hunter, last year discovered over 14000 dog tags believed to be properties of soldiers who fought and died in the war.

Some of the most expensive memorabilia from the war include Winston Churchill’s Snuff Box and typescripts, which both sums up to over $50000, Peter White’s Archive, which is $50000, Hitler’s ‘Night Guard, Anne Frank’s Letters, among others. Click on world war 2 memorabilia for more source.
